Leaving the cold behind for a vacation in the sun? The same question comes up again and again: what should you pack? To save you hours of wondering what to take and what to leave behind, here's a list of essentials for a week's vacation in the sun.
We start with pants. A pair of jeans and flowing straight-leg pants to keep evening temperatures mild and avoid mosquito bites! For topsA few comfortable tops for hot weather, T-shirts that cover the shoulders... beware of sunburn! And a shirt for milder temperatures. Take along a jacketa cardigan or sweater in case the weather doesn't turn out as you'd hoped. A dressy outfit can also be useful for a special outing.
Where there's sun, there's beach! Don't forget your towel, swimsuits and pareos, ideal for a day at the beach! Minimal bulk for maximum effect! Last but not least, take along your shoes: a pair of closed-toe sneakers or hiking boots, depending on your planned activities, and a pair of open-toe shoes for the beach and city outings. Our feet have a right to breathe too!
The must-have for every outfit? The accessories ! Scarves, sunglasses, belts, hats, caps and jewelry are all welcome in your suitcase!
